BAGERHAT: Five police personnel have been suspended after a detainee escaped from district court area on Wednesday.

The fugitive Delwar Hossain was held in a robbery case while the identity of the suspended policemen is yet to be confirmed.

Sources told banglanews that Delwar fled away from the police custody in the morning.

On information, District Superintendent of Police (SP) Nizamul Haque Mollah suspended five policemen for negligence in discharging their duties.

The police super said police forces have already started operation to detain Delwar again.
