NARAYANGANJ: Formalin is being mixed up while producing ice in the factory in the district. This is why the fish businessmen need not to nix formalin separately.

But, such ice factories will be sealed if found.

Deputy Commissioner Anisur Rahman Mia made the assertions on Wednesday while addressing the inauguration ceremony of seven day long ‘Jatiya Matsya Saptaha (National Week on Fisheries)’, organized by Narayanganj District Commission and Directorate of Fisheries.

He also said, “Buyers will not make any complaint if sellers take 2-5 percent Tk more as price of fishes.”

With district fisheries officer Marjina Begum in the chair, additional deputy commissioner (general) Mahbubur Rahman Habib, Deputy Director of Department of Agricultural Extension of Narayanganj Sukhranjan Das, Assistant Director Azizur Rahman Khan and Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Zahid Hasan, among others, were present in the inauguration ceremony.
