DHAKA: Younger brother chopped dead elder brother in Paikpara area of Mirpur in city on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Mohibuddin, 24, hailed from Haimchar of Chandpur district.
Eldest brother of the family Mazharul Islam told banglanews: “Mohibuddin slapped Hazrat Ali several times as he used to take drugs.”
Later, in the afternoon, Hazrat Ali chopped Mohibuddin when he was asleep, leaving him injured critically, he added.
Mohibuddin was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries.
Inspector of DMCH police camp Mojammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
