3.2kg gold seized at Ctg airport

CHITTAGONG: Customs authorities on Thursday detained a man with 28 pieces gold bars weighting 3.2 kilograms from Shah Amanat International Airport.       

The identity of the detainee could not be known immediately.   

Confirming the matter Assistant Commissioner of customs Mashiur Rahman Mandal told banglanews that scanning a luggage of the man the customs department found the gold and detained the man around 9:00am.

The seized gold is worth about Tk 1.24 crore, he added.
