DHAKA: A total of 25 people were killed in separate incidents, including, road crash, lightning, murder and suicide in different places across the country on Thursday.

In the capital city, three people were killed when a covered van crushed into a rickshaw in Kitutubkhali area in the morning.

A sexagenarian man was crushed under the wheel of a running train in Wireless Gate area of Moghbazar.

A female worker died after she came in contact with live electric wire at her workplace at a flute making factory in Azimpur.

A man was stabbed to death in Mughda Manda area in earlier of the day.

In Munsiganj,   a grandfather and his grandson were killed when a bus ran over them on Mawa-Ghordhour road in Holdia area under Louhajanj upazila of the district.

In Rajbari, a man and his ten-year-old son were killed when a passenger bus rammed into a Mahendra on Daulatdia-Khulna highway in Dowlotdia Union Parisad area of the Goalond upazila.

In Khagrachhari, miscreants shot dead a indigenous youth in Boraitali area of Guimara upazail early Thursday.

In Barisal, a youth was killed when a bus hit him on Dhaka-Barisal highway in Notullahbad area of the city in the morning.

A college girl committed suicide at her residence in Bhatikhana area of the city in the morning as she had had a scuffle with her mother.

In Khulna, a student of Khulna University was killed in road accident.

In Mymensingh, six people, including a policeman, were killed and 15 others injured when a bus collided head-on with a microbus in Iamatpur area of Fulpur upazila.

In Pabna, a worker was killed six others were injured when a locally made human-hauler plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control over steering.

In Bagerhat, a police constable committed suicide shooting himself at his workplace in the officer district Superintendent of Police in the morning.

In Chapainawabganj, a four-year-old boy was drowned to a ditch in Hotatpara village under Shibganj upazila in the noon of the day.

In Manikganj, police recovered a hanging body of a farmer in Basail Chandrapatap area under Shibalo upazila in the morning.

In lamonirhat, a man was killed when two groups of people locked into clashes over a land dispute at Hatibandha upazila.

In Bogra, miscreants hacked a government employee to death and chopped the man’s wife to injured in Mohishbatan area under kahalu upazila on Wednesday night.

In Naraynganj, a woman was knifed to death by her bother-and-sister-in-laws over family feud in Badar upazila.

In Tangail, several angry youths beat a rickshaw puller to death in Baniara Bazar of Mirzapur upazila as they had had a quarrel over the rickshaw fare.
