MADARIPUR: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four suspected traffickers with 17 deerskins from village Shatpar in neighboring Gopalganj district.

The arrested persons are Pabitra Thakur, 45, of Shingra village of Gopalganj, Amar Mondol, 40, of Mahersherpury village of Khulna, Nishi Mondol, 39, and Shila Datta Mondol, 22.

RAB at a press conference on Thursday morning said a team of the elite force recovered deerskins worth around Tk 8 lakh. The hides were handed over to Gopalganj police.

Gopalganj police registered a case in this connection.
