Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain met Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Jeddah.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.
The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka confirmed the matter through a statement on Sunday (March 9).
The discussion was held in a friendly atmosphere, reflecting the brotherly ties between the two nations. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the growing bilateral relations and agreed to enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the historical, religious, and cultural ties between the two countries. They particularly emphasized boosting trade, people-to-people connectivity, and cultural exchanges.
Notably, the OIC held the foreign ministers' meeting in Jeddah on March 7 to discuss Israel’s occupation of Palestine, where Touhid Hossain participated.
