DHAKA: Customs intelligence officials in two separate drives seized seven-kilogram gold bars and held two men at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday morning.
The detainee is- Shahinur Alam and Monjurul Haque, 26.
Confirming the matter, Customs Joint Commissioner Kazi Zia Uddin told banglanews, “Acting on a tip off, law enforcers detained Shahinur Alam with six kilogram-gold and Monjurul Haque with 1.6 kilogram gold.”
The seized gold is worth about Tk2 crores, he added.
