KISHOREGANJ: A young football fan was electrocuted while hanging the Argentine flag at Nayakandi village under Karimganj upazila of the district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Sabuj Mia, 17, son of Bachchu Mia.
Locals said the victim came in contact with an uncovered live electric wire while he was hanging a flag of Argentina in the area around 10:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, Kishoreganj fire service men recovered the body.
Karimganj Thana Sub-inspector Sanjay Kumar Banik confirmed the matter to banglanews.
