KISHOREGANJ: General Registrar Officer (GRO) of a Joydebpur court was killed as Egaroshindhur Express train knocked her down in Kishoreganj Railway Station on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ajufa Akhter, 38, wife of Abul Kashem of Gujadia village under Karimganj of the district.

Witness said the incident took place when she slipped down while ridding the train.

It left Ajufa dead on the spot, witness added.

Kishoreganj Government Railway Police (GRP) Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nazrul Islam said Ajufa was returning to her station after ending office.

An unnatural death case has been filed in this regard while deceased’s body has been sent to the Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy, OC added.
