RAJBARI: A policeman was killed and another injured in a road accident in Taktipur area under Pangsha upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector of Pangsha thana Sagor Ahmed.

Police sources said that a rashly driven passenger bus knocked them down while going to Taktipur area to nab an accused riding on a motorcycle on Kushtia-Rajbari road in the area around 10:30am, leaving them injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Pangsha Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctor declared ASI Sagor dead.

Pangsha Thana Officer-in-Charge Abul Bashar Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.
