DHAKA: A cyclist was killed as a passenger bus knocked him down in front of Dhaka City College in city’s Dhanmondi area Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Delowar, 25.

Witnesses said that a rashly driven passenger bus knocked him down in the area while he was crossing the road with a by-cycle around 8:00pm, leaving him injured critically.

The injured was rushed to nearby Popular Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Dhanmondi Thana Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the matter to banglanews.
