THAKURGAON: Two women were killed and eight others injured in a road accident in Guagao intersection area under Pirganj upazila of the district on Thursday afternoon.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said a passenger bus turned turtle as the driver lost his control over steering in the area around 4:00pm, leaving two pedestrian women dead on the spot and eight passengers injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Pirganj Upazila Health Complex.

Officer-in-Charge of Pirganj Thana Morshedul Karim confirmed the matter to banglanews.
