GAZIPUR: Rail communications on Dhaka-Dewanganj route halted as a collision took place between a train and a truck in Bhurulia area of the district on Friday afternoon.  

Locals said that Dhaka-bound intercity Haor Express collided with a truck in Bhurulia rail crossing area around 3:00pm, leaving two injured. 

Joydebpur Railway Junction Chief Station Master Sardar Zia Uddin told banglanews, “following the accident the rail service on the route halted. And rescue operation is underway which would take two and half hours.”

Joydebpur Thana Sub-Inspector Kamrul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
