DHAKA: Thirty Bangladeshis returned from Iraq on Tuesday by an Air Arabia flight from Erbil airport in Iraq.
The Air Arabia flight landed at Dhaka Airport at 8:00pm.
They were stranded at Tikrit and Mosul in distressed conditions since the outbreak of hostilities in Iraq.
Under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Embassy in Iraq coordinated the repatriation of these Bangladeshi workers including arranging for food and shelter, and passage to Bangladesh.
According to the Embassy of Bangladesh in Iraq, with their departure, there will not be any Bangladeshi left in Mosul and Tikrit area.
