DHAKA: An unidentified aged man was crushed under the wheels of a train in Tejgaon rail station area in city on Thursday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter, Kamlapur Railway Thana Assistant Sub-Inspector Azizul Islam told banglanews, “A train hit the victim while he was crossing the rail track in the area around 8:45am, leaving him dead on the spot.”

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he added.
