MYMENSINGH: Two people were killed in a road accident in Kashiganj bazaar area of Tarakanda upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as expatriate Kawsar, 26, son of Md Shamsuddin of Utpara upazila and Shahin, 25, hails from Chittagong.

Officer-in-charge Ali Mohammad of Tarakanda Thana said to banglanews that the bus collided head-on with an Aatpara-bound car in the area around 11:00 am, leaving the car driver Shamim and its passenger Kawsar dead on the spot and two other car passengers critically injured.

The injured were whisked to the Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital.
