4 electrocuted in Bogra, Natore

4 electrocuted in Bogra, Natore

DHAKA: Four people were electrocuted at Adamdighi upazila in Bogra district and Sadar upazila of Natore district on Sunday.

Sources said a youth and his father were electrocuted at Chapapur union under Adamdighi upazila of Bogra district in the morning.

The deceased were identified as Bimal Chandra Barman, 50, and his son Bidhan Chandra Barman, 24.

The relatives of the deceased said the father-son set a trap with live electric wire at their field to get rid of foxes.

At one stage, they came in contact the wires and died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Adamdighi Thana Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On the other hand, two minors were electrocuted in two different areas of Natore district.

The deceased were identified as Zannat Hossain, 7, son of one Nazimuddin and Shohag, 16, son of a Nabir Pramanik, residents of the area.

Locals said Zannat came in contact of an electric wire while switching on fan at his home at Hazratpur under Sadar upazila of the district.

Natore Sadar Thana OC Aslam Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Shohag was electrocuted at Batikamari village under Bagatipara upazila of the district while repairing electric line at his home.

Bagatipara Thana OC Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
