SATKHIRA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized a total of 60 totals gold worth about Tk 25 lakh in Khanjia border area of Kaliganj upazila of the district on Sunday.
BGB-34 Battalion commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Shamshul Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He said, “Acting on a tip-off, BGB chased a gang of smugglers in the border area. Being chased, the gang ran away, leaving the gold.”
None was detained in this connection.
