NOAKHALI: Communications Minister on Wednesday said the government is ready to prevent movement of BNP if it is violent.  

“The government will prevent the movement of BNP if it is for cutting trees, uprooting train lines and killing people with bomb attack in the name of demonstration,” he said.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker made the assertion after exchanging eid greetings with people from all walks of life of his constituency, Companiganj of the district.

Saying that the Roads and Highway Department (RHD) has been working relentlessly so that people can return to their working places, he urged the leaders and activists of bus owners association to be careful to reduce road accidents.
