DHAKA: An 11-year-old boy died after falling from the roof top of a three-storey building in Begum Bazar area of the capital on Thursday evening.

The deceased was identified as Sazedul Islam Tasmir, a son of Shamsul Haque, was a class III student of Nabo Kumar Institute of the area.

Shamsul said, “Tasmir was giving water at the trees with me on the afternoon there as the boy did everyday; all of sudden, he fell down to ground from the roof.”

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead at 6:40am.
