ASHULIA, SAVAR: A youth was killed as a boat capsized in Gajaria canal under Yarpur union of Ashulia Industrial Area on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Alam, 32, son of Rahiz Uddin and resident of Ghoshbagh area of Ashulia.
Locals said Alam along with his uncle went to the canal for fishing by a boat around 1:30pm. At one stage, the boat capsized and Alam went missing.
After searching for six hours in the canal, the divers recovered his body from the canal.
