DHAKA: The banglanews24.com, leading news portal of the country, organized a literary adda (discussion) in Mymensingh on Saturday afternoon.

The discussion was dedicated to late journalist and rhymester Obaidul Gani Chandan.

Poets Mosharraf Karim, Shamsul Fayez and Gausur Rahman, among other litterateurs and cultural activists, attended the discussion.

The literary discussion started at 3:00pm at a restaurant at Kacharighat on the bank of the river Brahmaputra.

Poet and litterateur Yazdani Qurayeshi said banglanews does not miss anything. “They dedicated literary discussion to Obaidul Gani Chandan immediately after he passed away,” he said.

He also said Mymensingh Shahitya Sangsad has given us many talented people. The writer further thanked banglanews for covering the ‘Adda’.

Banglanews’s Staff Correspondent of Mymensingh M Abdullah Al Mamun Khan delivered the welcome speech.

He said, “Mymensingh is the town of traditional culture and literature.”

A team from banglanews included its Consultant Editor Jewel Mazhar, and also a poet, Head of News Mahmood Menon Khan, Magazine Editor Faruk Ahmed, Entertainment Head Jony Haque and Newsroom Editor Tanim Kabir, among others, attended the function.

Poet and also an actor Jyotika Jyoti and artiste Kheya Mezbah also joined in the discussion.
