Bodies 3 Bangladeshis arrive

DHAKA: Bodies of three Bangladeshi construction workers, who were killed on Monday when a concrete span collapsed to ground in Kota Damansara area of Malaysia, arrived home on Thursday morning.

A flight of Biman Bangladesh airlines DG-087, carrying the bodies, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 6:45am on the day, followed by handing over those to the family members.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Faruq Khan, 38, of Pabna district and Mohammad Elahi Hossain, 27, and Mohammad Alauddin Mallik, 34, of Munshiganj.

The bodies were brought back to home under the supervision of the Labor and Employment ministry.

“Each family of the deceased has been given Tk 35,000 for burial and Tk 3 lakhs as donation” Zahid Anwar, assistant director of Wage Earners’ Welfare Board, told banglanews on Wednesday.

The workers worked at Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Corporation there.
