A patrol team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police also detained several kidnapers and seized a private car.

A reporter of the newspaper told banglanews, “Awal was going to Kalabagan from his Mirpur residence in the city, a gang of kidnappers picked up him at gunpoint and left the place by a private car, but somehow he managed to inform some of ours.”

Kalabagan Thana Officer-In-Charge Iqbal Hossain told banglanews “Patrol teams received an alert message following the kidnapping incidents; as a result, police managed to catch the kidnapers immediately with the vehicle.”
