ISHWARDI, PANBA: A woman and her son were electrocuted in Sara Gopalpur area under Ishwardi Upazila of the district early Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Lili Begum, 55 and her son Ramjan Ali, 28. 

Sources said that Ramjan Ali was electrocuted first then his mother went to save him but she also got electrocuted.

Later, other members of family rushed to the spot and sent them to hospital where duty doctor declared them dead.  

Ishwardi Thana Officer-in-Charge Biman Kumar Dash confirmed the matter to banglanews.
