RAJSHAHI: At least seven people, including four police men, were injured in a clash between Motor workers and railway security guards at Rajshahi railway station on Monday morning.
Sources said that Motor workers Union activists with some locals were taking drugs at railway platform-5 around 3:00am. Then Railway security guards protested them that triggered a clash.
Following the incident, some 30/40 men of District Motor workers Union attacked on-duty security guards with lethal weapon around 9:30am, leaving seven people injured.
Meanwhile, police fired four rounds bank shots to bring the situation under control.
Later, the injured were sent to Railway Hospital.
Confirming the matter, Rajshahi GRP Thana Officer-in-Charge Sunil Kumar Ghosh told banglanews that the situation is under controll now.
