PABNA: An engineer committed suicide over family feud by jumping under a train in Bhangura upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Rasel Ahmed Rubel, 35, son of Jalal Uddin, of Dhanbandi village of the upazila.

Locals told banglanews that the incident took place around 9:00am at Baral Bridge area.

They said that a Dhaka-bound Sirajganj Express train, started from Ishwardi, ran over him after he jumped on the track.

Bhangura Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) said the body was sent to Sirajganj Government Railway Police (GRP) sent him to Sadar Hospital morgue.

Quoting Rasel’s family and local sources, OC added: “He might be killed by himself over family feud as he was staying home without getting job after passing engineering.”
