Minor drowns in city

DHAKA: A five-year old minor drowned in a ditch at Uttar-Kajlarpar area of Jatrabari in city on Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Alif Rahman, 5, son of one Arifur Rahman, hailed from Pakundia area of Kishoreganj district. 

Sources said Alif fell into the ditch while playing on a culvert in the area around 2:30pm and drowned.

Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue.
