DHAKA: Relatives of killed Maulana Sheikh Nurul Islam Farooqui, an Islamic program anchor of private Channel-I, has been taking the body to Panchagarh where he will be buried beside his mother’s grave.

Earlier in the day, the namaj-e-janaza of Maulana Sheikh Nurul Islam Farooqui was completed at Baitul Mokarram premise after the Jumma prayer.

Distinguished persons including Chief Justice Muzammel Hossain and Islami Front president Mujibul Bashar Maijbhandari attended the janaja.

On Wednesday night, miscreants stabbed Maulana Sheikh Nurul Islam Farooqui to death at his East Razabazar residence in city.
