55,000 yaba tablets seized in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR: The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel, in different drives on Saturday, seized 55,000 yaba tablets from Damdamia BGB Check Post of Teknaf road and Cox’s Bazar link road area.

Commander of BGB Teknaf-42 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Abujar Al Zahid told banglanews that they seized around 50,000 pieces yaba tablet from a Cox’s Bazar-bound passenger bus.

No one was arrested in this connection, he added.

Meanwhile, Officer-in-Charge of Cox’s Bazar Thana Manjur Alam told banglanews that Detective Branch (DB) of police seized 5,000 yaba tablets and 43 bottles phensedyl from a passenger bus on Cox’s Bazar Link Road.

Three people were held during the drive, he added.
