ASHULIA (DHAKA): A woman chopped her husband to death over family feud in Ashulia Industrial area, outskirts of the capital, on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as a rickshaw puller Al-Amin Hawlader, 35, son of Abul Hawlader and hailed from Barisal district.

Police sources said Al-Amin and his wife Josna Begum locked into an altercation over family feud in the noon. At one stage, Josna chopped her husband with local sharp weapon, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.

On information, police rushed in and held Josna. However, a case was filed with Ashulia Thana in this connection.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Ashulia Thana Sheikh Badrul Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
