DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Sunday placed Mahmuda Khatun and Shariful Islam on 2-day remand for interrogation over killing of Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqi, an Islamic program anchor of Channel-I.
Magistrate of Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court Wayej Kuruni Chowdhury passed the order after the hearing at noon.
Earlier, Sub-Inspector Julhas Uddin Akon of Detective Branch (DB) of police produced the detainees before the court with a seven-day remand plea.
On Wednesday night, miscreants stabbed Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqi to death at his East Razabazar residence in the city.
