NARAYANGANJ: Another Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) member gave a confessional statement before a court on Sunday over the Narayanganj gruesome 7-murder case.

The RAB man, Habilder Arif Hossain, gave confessional statement before the court of Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate HM Shafiqul Islam.

The accused described the incident from abduction to throwing them into the Shitalakshya River.

Narayanganj District Lawyers' Association President Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain Khan said seven people, including Arif confessed, under section 164.

Earlier, RAB personnel Habildar Emdadul Haque, Sepahi Abu Tayab and lance-nayek Hira Mia gave their confessional statements on Saturday.

However, lance-nayek Billal Hossain and Constable Sihab Uddin are still on remand.

On April 30, seven bodies, including Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam and his four aides and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and his driver were found floating in the Shitalakshya River.

They were kidnapped from Dhaka-Narayanganj link road on April 27.
