DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) recommended canceling the fake freedom fighter certificate of five secretaries of different ministries.

The ACC submitted the report in the commission on Tuesday afternoon.

The five are secretary (OSD) KH Masud Siddique, joint secretary (OSD) Abul Kashem Talukder of Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, secretary AKM Amir Hossain of Public Service Commission, secretary Niazuddin Mia of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and contractually appointed chairman of Board of Investment Molla Wahiduzzaman.

According to the report, the submitted the fake freedom fighter certificate though they did not participated in the liberation war in 1971.

The ACC also ordered the Public Service Commission (PSC) and Public Administration Ministry to take action against them apart from the cancellation of the certificates.
