Foreign cigarettes seized at Shahjalal

DHAKA: Customs Officials on Friday seized 1,135 cartons of foreign cigarettes from capital’s Shahjalal International Airport.

Assistant customs commissioner Abu Yusuf confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The authorities recovered the cigarettes from three Pakistani nationals who came from Colombo of Sri Lanka by Sri Lankan Airlines at 1:00 pm. 

After scanning the luggage of the trio the customs official found the huge amount of cigarettes worth Tk 11.35 lakh.
