ACC grills 2 top PDBF officials

DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) interrogated two officials of Palli Daridro Bimochon Foundation (PDBF) for their allegedly involvement in misappropriation of money of climate change.

The officials are AAM Anwaruzzaman, managing director of Solar Project, and Sufia Begum, former administration officer of human resource development of the PDBF.

ACC Assistant Director Shamsul Alam quizzed them over an hour from 12:00 noon at its head office in city’s Segun Bagicha area on Sunday.

As per allegation received by the anti-graft body, crores of taka, which was provided for addressing climate change, had been embezzled in the PDBF.

A total of 55 non-government organizations were given work from climate change resilience fund but there is no existence of 10 NGOs, it was mentioned in the compliant.
