PABNA: The government has taken initiatives to renovate the ancestral house of legendary actress of Bangla film late Suchitra Sen in the district.

Archeology Department’s Rajshahi regional director Badrul Alam and his team visited the building on Monday.

Badrul Alam said that cultural affairs ministry has ordered to renovate the inherited house of Suchitra Sen.

He also said a budget would be submitted to the ministry and then they would start renovation.

The original design will remain as it was, he added.

The director was accompanied by deputy assistant engineer Khalilur Rahman and officials from Pabna municipality land office.
