CHITTAGONG: Customs officials seized 58 gold bars, weighing seven kilograms, from Shah Amanat International Airport in the port city on Sunday.
Sources said that a flight from Dubai (BG-204) landed at the airport around 10:00am.
Later, searching the body of a passenger named Mohammad Ullah, law enforcers found the gold around 11:30am.
Confirming the matter, Chittagong Customs Assistant Commissioner Tapan Kumar Chakrabarti told banglanews that the market price of the seized gold bar is estimated around Tk2.9 crore.
