DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid.

The premier reached at Bangabhaban, official residence of the president, around 4:00 and stay for an hour.

After the meeting, president’s press secretary Ehsanul Karim confirmed the matter to media.

He said the premier would leave the city for the United States tonight to join UN General Assembly.

However, President Abdul Hamid will go to Saudi Arabia to perform hajj this year.

The premier and the President discussed about their visits, the press secretary added.
