FENI: US Ambassador to Dhaka Dan W. Mozena on Friday said Bangladesh is an epitome of communal harmony.
Mozena made the remarks at a view exchange meeting with the journalists at the district’s Circuit House at 12:00pm on the day.
He said people of all religions are living here maintaining communal harmony and keeping equal contribution to the country’s development and growth.
In natural resources, Bangladesh is a rich country which is rapidly advancing to the economic growth through widespread technological development, Mozena added.
He went on saying that people of the country are industrious, liberal and friendly, he had a good time during his duty-time here in Bangladesh, and he has tried to understand the minds of the Bangladesh’s people.
By arriving Feni, the US ambassador fulfilled his promise of visiting 64 districts of Bangladesh before he left the country, which he gave to late president Zillur Rahman, informed Mozena.
Prior to the meeting, he exchanged views with the district administration’s officials. Additional deputy commissioners of the district Mohammad Enamul Haque and Shfiul Arif, superintendent of police (SP) Rezaul Haque, additional SP, among others, were present there.
Ambassador’s wife Grace Mozena and US Agency for International Development (USAID) Bangladesh mission director Janina Jaruzelski accompanied Mozena there.
