BOGRA: A woman along with her daughter was crushed under the wheels of a train at Sadar railway station under Alamdighi upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Anisa Begum, 48, wife of Ansar Ali and their daughter Munzila Begum, 21, residents of Kochpukuria village under Dupchachia upazila of the district.

Sources said Munzila tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a moving train.

Her mother also jumped on the railway track to save her daughter but unfortunately came under the wheels of the train.

The train crushed both of them, said a spot account of the incident.

In-charge of Bogra railway police camp Sub-Inspector Bimal Kumar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
