DHAKA: A teenager boy allegedly committed suicide after he got shocked over his mother death in Pallabi area of Mirpur in the city on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Ebrahim Khalil Ullah, 16, student of class seven of Pallabi Udayan School, son of Fazlur Rahman, hailed from Bhola Sadar Upazila.

Deceased’s Uncle Jakir Hossain told banglanews that Ebrahim’s mother died six months ago due to cancer and from then he was upset.

Pallabi Thana Sub-Inspector Mahesh Chandra said that on information police recovered the hanging body from the house of Road no- 27, section-10, Block-B on Saturday around 1:00am.

Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
