DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Sunday awarded death penalty to a man and life-term imprisonment to six others in a killing case.

Judge of Dhaka-3 Speedy Trial Tribunal ABM Sajedur Rahman passed the order Sunday.

The death convict is Abdur Rashid and life timers are Rafiqul Hasan Moksed, Biplob, Asaduzzaman alias Asad, Siddiqur Rahman, Razon and Monir.

The court also fined them Tk 20,000 each, in default, ordered them to serve six more years in jail.

Nazmul Huda Panna was killed in a post-election violence in Dhamrai of Dhaka.
