DHAKA: Two persons including a minor were crushed under the wheels of two Dhaka-bound trains in two separate incidents in city’s Kamlapur and Khilgaon areas on Tuesday.

One of the deceased was identified as Belayet Hossain, 55, resident of Mohammadpur and identity of the other one aged around 7 could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said that Belayet was crushed under the wheels of a train in Khilgaon area around 3:00pm, while he was walking on the rail track.

However, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.

On the other hand, an unidentified minor was crushed under the wheels of a Dhaka-bound train at platform no. 7 in Kamlapur railway station on early Tuesday.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Sub-Inspector of Kamlapur Railway Thana Razib confirmed the matter to banglanews.
