CHITTAGONG: The rail communications of Chittagong with other parts of the country including Dhaka and Sylhet resumed after a four-hour halt due to derailment of an inter-city train in Mirsarai upazila of the district.
Confirming the matter, Firoz Ifteker, Bangladesh Railway (Eastern Zone) officer told banglanews the train services started around 11:00am Thursday.
Earlier, a train named ‘Mahanagar Provati’ left Chittagong station for Dhaka around 7:00am. Later, five compartments of Dhaka-bound train veered of the tracks in Chingki Astana area around 8:15am.
