HABIGANJ: At least 60 people, including 10 bullet-hit, were wounded in clash between two groups of villagers at Shahpur village under Baniachang upazila of the district on Saturday.
Local sources said that two groups of the village engaged in an altercation over a trifle matter in the area.
At one stage, both the groups locked into a clash with firearms and locally made sharp weapons around 11:00am, leaving at least 60 people injured.
23 of the injured were rushed to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
On information, police rushed to the place and brought the situation under control.
Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Baniachang Thana Liakat Ali said that additional police forces were deployed in the area to avert farther unwanted situation.
