DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to pay a visit to Malaysia on December 3 at the invitation of her Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak, said Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoF) sources.

Focus of the visit includes different issues like bilateral relation, manpower exporting, and bilateral trade and commerce.

During the visit, three memorandum of understating (MoU) on science and technology, cultural cooperation, and visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders will be signed there, said sources of the MoF and the Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia.

Bangladesh High Commissioner in Malaysia A.K.M. Atiqur Rahman told banglanews, preparation of the premier’s visit are underway in full-fledge, the visit may take place on the first week of December.

MoF director general Asud Ahmed echoed the same on the matter. Several MoUs would be signed there though talks are still at the primary level, said the DG.

Najib invited Hasina during his visit to Dhaka in November 2013.
