DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police have taken special security measures for city dwellers to avert any untoward situations on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Azha.
RAB media and legal wing director Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan told banglanews that dog squads will also be ready at National Eidgah before Eid prayers.
Besides, RAB patrol teams and others intelligence forces will be deployed across the capital.
The RAB officer also said that check posts will be active in several key points in capital to ensure the security.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Benazir Ahmed said police will ensure security in 21 temporary cattle hats and 652 Eid Jamaat venues.
Police forces will also be deployed in city shopping centers, train stations, bus stations and launch terminals.
