JESSORE: At least four people were killed in road accident on Jessore-Khulna highway in Nawapara Pirbari area under Avoynagar upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. 

Sources said a rashly driven truck knocked down a battery-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 3:30pm, leaving them dead on the spot.

Avoynagar Thana police confirmed the matter to banglanews.
